Granite Hills Aquatics Center Becomes a Reality |
|
After 51 years, Granite Hills High School has a pool. Tuesday, March 27th, marked the grand opening of what many feel is the nicest aquatics complex in the county. The complex features the only 50-meter pool in East County, plenty of deck space, two diving boards, a digital scoreboard, electronic touch pads and much more. Check out eastcountyaquaticscenter.com to view more photos of the grand opening.
The pool was made possible by the Grossmont Union High School District Board, Principal Georgette Torres and the Granite budget and County Supervisor Dianne Jacob. Sycuan also donated money for the scoreboard. We can't thank the community enough! Our kids are the real winners here.
In order to keep this treasure at its finest, we're asking you to consider leaving your mark through the donation of a personalized paver brick or bronze plaque to be mounted in the Aquatics Center. Click here for more details. Thank you very much for your support! |

Eagle Surfer Featured in Sports Illustrated |
|
Granite Hills High School senior, Vito Roccoforte, is featured in this week's edition of Sports Illustrated magazine because of his success on the waves. He helped lead our Surf Team to a victory over Clairemont in the team's last competition by finishing first in the longboard and shortboard divisions. He did so with a fractured shoulder! He is also ranked first overall in the longboard category of the Scholastic Surf Series. We're proud of Vito and the entire Surf Team, which ranks consistently as one of the best in the County. |
