The United States Tennis Association formally recognized Coach Patty Tibbitts on November 14, 2008, for implementing a no-cut policy. According to UTSA, no-cut coaches play a critical role in tennis by allowing young players the opportunity to represent their high schools. "No-cut tennis programs are keeping with the objectives of the UTSA to continue to grow the game of tennis," said Kirk Anderson, the UTSA's Director of Recreational Coaches and Programs.
