Seniors Lauren Bender and Robbie Mills were honored by the San  Diego High School Sports Association for their academic and athletic accomplishments. Bender, a center on the varsity  basketball team, carries a  4.71 GPA. She was the sportsmanship award winner at the MLK Jr. Invitational Basketball Tournament last year. She was also named to the Grossmont South All-League team the last two years, and plans to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Mills carries a 4.854 GPA and plans to attend USC in the Fall. His athletic accomplishments include the following: three years Varsity Water Polo - 1st team All-League Grossmont South; 1st team Division I CIF; Team Captain and MVP; four years varsity swim - 1st team All-League Grossmont South; CIF qualifier; team captain and MVP; varsity tennis - team captain.
