S.T.I.N.G.

Student Teachers Igniting the Next Generation

S.T.I.N.G. is a day of unique, unusual and inspiring classes taught BY high school students FOR middle school students on the campus of Granite Hills High School in El Cajon.

Our goal is to instill excitement for both learning and teaching through interactive classes, hands-on projects, interesting subjects, and global ideas with enthusiastic students and teachers.

The program was developed as an IB Service project by Andy Keller, who is now studying at CalTech. It is modeled after the Splash program at MIT. GHHS was the first high school in the country to work in cooperation with Learning Unlimited, a nonprofit organization that helps start and mentor colleges such as Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, and Harvard with similar programs.
